The Answer is Grace

I chose the title “The Answer is Grace” from a story Philip Yancey shares in his book What’s So Amazing About Grace?

C.S. Lewis was attending a British conference on comparative religions with experts from around the world. Many of the experts were debating what belief was unique to Christianity. C.S. Lewis entered the room, asked what they were debating, and they told him they were discussing Christianity’s unique contribution among the world’s religions. He responded, “Oh, that’s easy. It’s grace.” (45) [1]

It is grace that distinguishes Christianity from all other religions. This topic, and other theological concerns, is the focus of this blog.

Bio

I have a passion for theology and for making it easy to understand. I obtained a B.A. in sociology from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington and an M.Div. from Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. During this time, I spent seven years working in youth ministry, teaching students who had no biblical background, students who had been raised in the Church, and everything in between. I spent that time studying theology and teaching it to my students in ways they could understand and apply to their lives.

That is also my goal for this blog. I hope to present Scripture and theology simply so that no matter your background or understanding of theology, you can understand it and apply it to your life.

I live in Eastern WA with my husband, Dan, where we spend lots of time with family. When not spending time with family or studying theology, I can be found reading, restoring my 1965 Ford Mustang or playing Nintendo.
